Somewhere Someone documents the first collaborative work between artists Cynthia Daignault and Curran Hatleberg. While living on opposite coasts they set out toward each other in order to document the broad reality of land and absence between New York and Los Angeles. They left at the same moment, took the same route, stayed in the same motels, and used identical cameras to record their crossings. They met at the geographic center of America — Lebanon Kansas — before continuing on alone. The resulting work documents this happening through a series of 160 black and white photographs.
